“Madame Du Barry” is a custom-made Louis XV style marble fireplace of a rare opulence.
The highly curved shape is elaborately decorated with finely carved plant motifs. The center of the entablature of this custom-made fireplace is decorated with a large floral shell, a motif that we find again on the top of the jambs. The jambs, feature a curved shape, and a rolled up design towards the top.
We combine state of the art technology with a genuine in-depth knowledge from some of the most experienced master marbriers, artisans and sculptors. The sculptures are entirely hand-made, in keeping with traditions from past centuries and the French “bien faire”.
We specifically select marbles from quarries in France and Italy, take extreme care during production, and employ skilled artisans to hand make the fireplace mantels. These are the three ingredients which make every fireplace mantel built in our workshops a unique piece of work.
