Louis XV style, the carved decoration of this fireplace is extremely elaborate. A large reversed foliaged shell adorns the center of the frieze. Jambs are curved and have a winding lined with fleshy acanthus leaves in the lower part. The top of the jambs are ornated with carved shells and bells fall.
This fireplace is equipped with a beautiful cast iron insert adorned with scrolls, shells and foliage medallions .
