The “Vendome” model is a custom-made Regence style marble mantel that combines sophistication and elegance. Its sober lines are adorned with a remarkable sculptural decoration. The curved jambs, covered with molded panels, are garnished with lush acanthus leaves that are characteristic of the Regence style. The scrolled modillions add a slight flare. The entablature is the result of exceptional sculptural craftsmanship, particularly in the shell and floral pattern on the moldings. To each side, the molded spandrels are decorated with acanthus leaves.
The Regence style developed in France during the regency of Philippe d'Orleans, when future Louis XV was a minor. This style is the link between the sober style of Louis XIV and the Louis XV style extravagance. From the former, this mantel kept the wide molding that runs under the front, typical of the Louis XIV Bolection mantle. Of the latter, the model foretells the profusion of sculptural ornaments, essentially of foliage.

This custom-made fireplace mantel is available in a selection of different marbles: statuary Carrara, semi-statuary Carrara, white Carrara, Red Griotte, Sarrancolin Ilhet, Peach blossom, Turquin Blue, Panazeau and Green Mahardja. It can be adorned with bronze ornaments - a must for Green Maharaja marble!
Optionally, we propose a choice of a cast iron insert or an enameled one.
