“Lapérouse” is a very beautiful custom fireplace of Louis XVI style with clean and sleek lines.
The simple shapes of this marble fireplace are finely trimmed with sculpted ornaments. Its fluted legs are ridged in the lower section. These ridges are surmounted by five levels of delicately sculpted asparagus. The cornice of this fireplace, slightly arched, is extremely elegant : two interlaced ribbons run along the latter, enlivening the surface of the marble. The tops of the cornice are decorated with square rosettes, characteristic of the Louis XVI style.
